Managed to get one and I love it.
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. My brother and I built our computers in August before the stock shortages happened so we were lucky. He got a 2080 Super and I got a 2060 Super. The 30 Series GPU's release dates were announced and I wanted to get an FE. Come release date, I didn't get a 3080 like everyone else. So I downgraded my 2060 to a 1660 Super in hopes of eventually getting a 30 Series and then I'd give the 1660 Super to my mom's build I was working on. Cut 6 frustrating months later and CONSTANT checking each day, I finally got a 3080 FE on Best Buy with NO issues during checkout. Yeah, I know, I was surprised to. So far I have no issues with the 3080 and I think it's amazing. I love the design of the FE compared to the other AiBs. I'm running 1440p with a Ryzen 9 3900X along with this and VR is amazing. The 1660 Super I was using previously would give some lag here and there but now it's so smooth with the 3080. It sucks that this year has been the worst in terms of out of stock supply/scalpers/miners/etc. but I'd still hold off and keep trying to get one at msrp or close to it (unless you're rich and don't care about price but that's not me).

|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Reading reviews because the button is grey.. I get it, I've been there!! Till that one magical day when that button turned yellow. At that moment my smart watch said I was going in to afib!! The process to get through checkout was a bigger adrenaline rush than running away from an oozing Volcano. WOW! Oh yea, the card.. It's amazing.

Fantastic card
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. There isn't much to say other than this is a fantastic card. For those who have the chance to purchase one don't think just buy it. I will say my VRAM ran a little hot (103C was the max I recorded) but I was able to fix this with a thermal pad replacement and my temps dropped around 20 degrees. NOTE: Do not do a thermal pad replacement unless you know what you are doing as you could break your card.

Fantastic Card at MSRP!
|Posted .Owned for 1 year when reviewed.I managed to snag this bad boy back in October of 2020. I fought tooth and nail against the scalpers like many others and was able to get to that buy now button. This card has performed admirably and I have zero complaints. I wanted to wait a year and use it to be sure it was solid. The temps have are very good. It has blown away all my expectations and some. Definitely worth getting if you can get it at MSRP. FE is a must have. Tough build and good quality. Good luck to all! Hopefully they become more readily available.

Great card for the value IF you can snag one
|Posted .If you are somehow one of the fortunate few to grab this card, then wow, this is it in terms of price to performance. Coming from a 5600xt, the 3080 handles most max graphic settings that you throw at it. As someone who plays on a high refresh rate 1440p monitor, the card is near perfect for that setup. At that resolution, you can enjoy the high fps and great looking graphics. The ability to also handle 4K is a nice option if I ever decide to upgrade monitors. As far as aesthetics go, I absolutely love the look of the founders cards MINUS the ridiculous looking 12 to dual 8 pin cable. Luckily there are after market cable extensions that help solve this issue. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the card actually has some rgb at the middle of the card in addition to the led lit geforce logo. When it comes to temps, I actually found, through various websites, that undervolting the card allows you to achieve near the same performance while pulling way fewer watts. All in all, while the gpu market is completely abysmal at this point, if you can snag this card at the original msrp of $700, then you have a winner.

This GPU is legendary for a reason.
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. The 3080 is THE graphics card of choice if you're looking for no compromise performance at a cost that is half of its upper tier brother the 3090. For about half the price, you'll get near identical real world performance. NVIDIA really stepped up their Founder's Edition cooling as well. Hard to say no to a GPU like this, especially if you manage to snag it at MSRP. With the way Best Buy has been handling the GPU shortage, buying from here is probably your best bet. Just make sure your tower can fit this thing in there, it is pretty large.

3080 fe
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This thing is a beast. Has a small wind when under load but runs great at 1440. Fps is amazing as well. Only downside was waiting for this in line for 20 hrs just to get it. But worth it in the long run.

Awesome card!!
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Excellent card!! I was so excited I got a chance to buy one here at Bestbuy. These cards are hard to come by but it was worth the time searching for one. I’ve always been a console gamer and finally decided to build a gaming PC. I just happen to come into it while the 30 series was being released. My computer sat without a graphics card for a month but so happy to have it completed. Some have mentioned the card being loud but I myself don’t think it’s loud at all. Especially not when I’m using my headphones. Have not had any over heating issues either. If you can find one of these cards available...buy it! If you want 2080ti results the 3070 is the one to get. The 3080 is better than a 2080ti, cheaper and much better value for the money.

Q: Questioncan it run ms paint
Asked by SomeGuy.
- A:Answer It depends on the rest of your PC. If you have the latest processors and maxed out RAM, you might be able to run Paint if you switch the UI in Windows to basic, and close any open applications. If you really want to run Paint, opt for 2x 3090's, those can run in SLI. Good luck.

Q: QuestionWhen will Best Buy have the (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card - Titanium and Black) In stock again?
Asked by Reece.
- A:Answer Best Buy needs to start taking pre-orders so atleast we know we're going to get one at some point and that would also eliminate scalpers. You don't have to be rocket scientist to figure this out Best Buy.

Q: QuestionWill this card ever come back out if so when
Asked by Bob.
- A:Answer They *will* come back out, but expect no forewarning announcement whatsoever. There is no definitive answer from BestBuy on this, and their reason is understandable, but frustrating. Restocks are the best-kept secret of this card. Giving no lead warning is policy for BestBuy, as a mechanism for detecting and subsequently at-least-trying-before-failing to eliminate bots. If the scalpers running bot armies know no more than you do, they are forced to perpetually hammer the site to detect stock change 24/7, and in so doing become more "visible" for BestBuys anti-botting detection and supposed blacklisting. Honestly, however, it doesn't do much good at all. This site, and specifically this page, are assaulted non-stop by bots disguising and/or masquerading IP info, etc. When they do come back in stock the bots cart them all within seconds, even with BestBuys "Second phase" authentication. That said, for what it is worth, I've watched in earnest since launch, and have worn out the label of my F5 key. BestBuy *appears* to restock every 1.5 to 2.5 weeks. The latest restock came in 1-week + 5-days after the prior. There is no specific day (Friday seems to be the most common, but I've seen Wednesday twice, and even a Monday), nor specific time (I've seen 6:00AM PST, 8:00AM PST, and 2:00PM PST). At the time of this answer being authored the last restock was 2020-12-02, a Wednesday, at 8:00am PST, and they were literally gone in seconds (less than ten). I managed to get to "second phase" authentication before the page hung indefinitely and eventually timed out, several times. It took another 25 minutes before the site finally hung out the DND sign, and proceeded to flip back and forth between "Coming Soon" and "Sold Out" a half dozen times during the subsequent two hours before finally settling on what you see now (Sold Out). The prior restock happened on 2020-11-20, a Friday, at 6:00am PST, and was also wiped out in seconds, with a similar experience on my part. There is no notify system; there is no wait-list. If you want it you have to be on the site, and have loaded the page to see the restock within seconds of it going live, or you're going to miss it (and, as I described earlier, even then, you'll likely still miss it). It is battle-royale, every man/woman/child/bot for themselves (one of those clearly having a distinct advantage).

Q: QuestionWill this be bale to support Pac-Man?
Asked by DocHolloday.
- A:Answer Good luck there. You may be able to play Pac-Man on medium with animations disabled at best. Some reports have shown significant frame drops when picking up a power pellet. You might be better off waiting for the 3090. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionI currently have the NVIDIA GeForce 1060 GTX 3GB. Will I be able to replace it with this beauty? I hope it’ll fit in my iBUYPOWER PC.
Asked by Gingy94.
- A:Answer You'll have to bust out a tape measure, the RTX 3080 measure in at 11.2"(L) x 4.4" (W), which is much larger length wise than the 1060 which is only 6.8" (L). Side note, the RTX 3080 is a 350 watt card, the 1060 is only 230 watts, you'll also need to confirm your power supply can handle that. 700 watt or more is recommended and it needs 2x 8 pin pci-e plugs (with included adapter) or a new power supply with the very recently adopted 12 pin pci-e plug

Q: QuestionWhen will there be a restock online or in-store?
Asked by Godspeed.
- A:Answer There was an online restock just yesterday, Tuesday, January 5 between 10-12 Eastern standard time. My husband has been trying to get this card for a while and couldn’t find it at MSRP. I downloaded the app HotStock which gives you an alert when the item is in stock. Also, comments from other users stated Best Buy usually restocks on Tuesday mornings. So I sat with my laptop and refreshed Best Buy’s page for what seemed like a million times and got lucky- eventually the gray “sold out” button turned into a blue “see details” button. You click it & have to wait for a couple of minutes for them to make sure you’re not a bot. Then it will let you click “add to cart” if it’s still in stock. I suggest doing it directly from the website, not the Best Buy app. I did this process at the same time from my laptop and my phone, in case I didn’t get the option to add to cart in one of them. They are releasing the cards every few minutes, so keep refreshing the page if you get a “sold out” or “unavailable” button. Make sure you are already logged in to your Best Buy account, have your credit card already on file and have your phone next to you as they will send you a verification code. Only option for me was to pick up in store, no shipping. Good luck & hope you can get a card in the next restock!
